When it came time to showcase the spring collection for their CANVAS line of home furnishings, Canadian Tire came to us.  The original ask was straightforward – design a room to display the product in various settings, with a short timeline for design & execution.  We immediately saw an opportunity to do something bigger & better and from there CANVAS House, an immersive, multi-functional pop-up environment, was born.

We worked with Canadian Tire and their real estate team to find the right location. We needed somewhere that would be large enough to achieve our idea of housing multiple day-to-night backdrops against which we would display the merchandise in a unique and interesting way.  We settled on a warehouse in Toronto's Parkdale neighbourhood.  Next, we assembled a stellar team of collaborators including builders, lighting technicians and prop & set dressers from the film production community to create a series of adjoining “sets” depicting real-life environments that served as perfect stages for the CANVAS line.
